Exploring the Mind Body Connection

Rachel Wagner-Cantine is a licensed clinical counselor (LCPC) and board certified dance/movement therapist (BC-DMT). Rachel has been in the field of psychotherapy for over twelve years working in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient, inpatient and residential. Rachel has extensive knowledge of treating individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal stress, life transitions, as well as symptoms in relation to past trauma experiences.

She utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques to best fit each client's needs including verbal therapy, art, music, somatic awareness, dance and principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Rachel is currently studying Somatic Experiencing® through the Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute founded by trauma expert, Peter Levine. In addition, Rachel is trained in DIRFloortime® and specializes in treating children on the autism spectrum as well as supporting parents and families of special needs children.

Rachel is passionate about helping guide individuals and families to reach their highest potential. She believes in client-centered therapy and treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. What makes Rachel unique is her ability to combine the creative arts into verbal therapy techniques to assist clients in heightening their ability to express themselves on multiple levels. As a board certified, masters level trained dance/movement therapist, Rachel is able to provide a one of a kind therapy for those clients looking to connect with their bodies for self expression, mind/body integration, and resourcing.
