MENTAL HEALTH FOR THE ARTS
Helping arts organizations, universities, educators, and artists identify and address the mental health needs of the communities they serve.
Mental Health for the Arts is designed to teach arts organizations and educators, dancers, musicians, theatre directors, actors, teaching artists, photographers, painters, sculptors, choreographers, visual artists, singers, drummers, and other creatives how to help individuals who are experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
SCHEDULE A TRAINING SESSION
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy has given more than 150 invited keynotes, presentations, workshops, and courses throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia for mental health, healthcare, education, and arts professionals; graduate counseling, drama therapy, and expressive arts therapies students; and the general public.
To meet the increasing needs for distance learning, the Center for Creative Arts Therapy also gives webinars for mental health and healthcare professionals and students via Skype and other electronic platforms.
Supervision and consultancy for alternative drama therapy students, expressive arts therapy students, counselors and creative arts therapists is offered throughout the country via face-to-face, web-based online, email, and/or phone.
Gain support on your track towards licensure or credentialing as a creative arts therapist, as well as collaborate with other therapists healing through the arts. Monthly group supervision with creative arts therapists is also offered at the Center for Creative Arts Therapy on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
Earn supervision hours toward your Licensed Clinical Professional Counseling (LCPC) licensure, Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) credential, and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) credentials.
Professional guidance and supervision is offered at multiple Internship and Practicum sites. Alternative Training in Drama Therapy supervision and courses as well as CEUs for Registered Drama Therapists (RDT) and Expressive Arts Therapists (REAT) are offered as additional growth opportunities.
