COUNSELING FOR ADULTS

Life can be hard and may seem overwhelming at times, but we are here to help you thrive during the most challenging times.

The creative arts therapies give voice to adults through expressive art materials, music, movement and role play. When words are not available for expression or communication of difficult feelings, the arts can speak instead. It is a language without words, offering a means for individualized and unique personal expression. Both the art itself and the process of creating art can provide adults with a non-verbal avenue to communicate, problem solve, express self and emotions, and positively cope with difficult experiences and life changes.

Let us support you through compassionately creative counseling and arts-based psychotherapy services. Contact us to schedule a consultation.

As adults, we all experience challenges with our mental health at some point in our life. Sometimes these problems reflect different home and work stressors and can be considered normal, but when symptoms begin to interfere with your daily functioning, interrupting home and work, it may be beneficial to seek help.

Beginning therapy can be scary for anyone, but it doesn't have to be. It can actually be something to look forward to. Our primary concern at the Center for Creative Arts Therapy is making you feel safe and comfortable. We will spend the first few sessions getting to know you and building a therapeutic relationship not only by talking but also through art, music, and journaling.

You might not yet have the words to describe what you are going through, which can be frustrating for both you and your close relationships. For adults, creative arts therapy can be beneficial in helping you work through complex emotions. Creative arts therapy allows you to displace “stressful” or “overwhelming” feelings onto canvases and journals and act out conflict and relationship resolutions.

Our therapists are prepared to help you develop an enhanced skill set to improve your self-esteem, reduce symptoms of mental illness, and learn strategies to build resilience and navigate complex challenges. Our adult therapists can provide help with anxiety, depression, stress, body image, life adjustments, ADHD and much more,

ADHD
Anger
Anxiety & Stress
Codependency
Depression
Divorce
Grief & Loss

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Our team of adult therapists collaborate with you to get a better understanding of your history and your current concerns. We will create a treatment plan specific for you that will help you learn tools to manage your symptoms and reach your goals. By intervening early, you can improve your long term mental health outcomes by helping you be more aware of your own feelings and emotions, and encouraging you to seek help when in need.

We're in-network with BCBS PPO & Cigna. We accept self-pay clients from $150 per session, depending on the therapist, and can provide out-of-network services. Please call our office with any questions at 847-477-8244.
