ADULT CREATIVITY FOR CLINICIANS

CERTIFICATE TRAINING PROGRAM

WHAT IS ADULT CREATIVITY FOR CLINICIANS?

Creativity for Clinicians is a 16-hour, 2-day course for counselors, social workers and mental health professionals with an interest in learning about or building their knowledge of creative interventions. Learn new innovative interventions to help even your most resistant clients express themselves.

Packed with non-stop action, demonstrations and ideas that will have you furiously taking notes as your clinical toolbox overflows with creative, effective interventions you can use immediately! What’s more, you’ll leave inspired to create even more!

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THE ADULT TRAINING?

Adult Creativity for Clinicians is primarily designed for social workers, counselors, psychologists and mental health professionals who regularly interact with adults. The course introduces common mental health challenges for adults, reviews typical life challenges, and teaches a concrete action plan for how to help adults in both crisis and non-crisis situations through creative interventions. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders along with concrete interventions to aid in alleviating symptoms.

Adult Creativity for Clinicians is a way to build community level capacity to identify mental health and substance use issues early and for mental health professionals to increase their confidence to intervene creatively. The mental health community has a long history of being theoretically and medically based. Adult Creativity for Clinicians is a way to increase the level of baseline knowledge about creative interventions and to increase the skills resulting in effective change and expression of emotions.
