Self Expression through Play

Sara Hood is a current Master’s student in Lesley University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program: Drama Therapy Specialization. Sara is a student member of the NADTA (North American Drama Therapy Association) and holds a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree in Musical Theater Performance with a Minor in Music from the University of Central Florida.

The theater has long been a safe space for self-expression. Just as theater transforms, so does therapy. Sara believes by using techniques rooted in dramatic expression, clients can uncover and explore who they are and how they relate to the world in a safe space.

Sara has experience working with children and adolescents but encourages anyone interested in self-discovery to come share the therapy space. Life is a journey best taken together.
