Connecting the Mind and Body

Pamela Slane has over 12 years of experience in the field of mental health demonstrating effective leadership and the ability to adapt to the changing climate. Integrates an understanding of the impact of trauma into clinical and behavioral interventions and education. She utilizes a holistic approach and is youth-guided, family-driven, community-based, and culturally competent.

Pamela educates and creates clinical interventions that resource the foundations of movement therapy to assist clients in identifying somatic responses and linking those emotional states to behavioral reactions in response to internal and external triggers.

She has also developed and managed Paws-II-Hands, an animal-assisted therapy program, that utilized clinical theories of touch within the therapeutic relationship to focus on sexualized and physical trauma.
