
ONLINE CONTINUING EDUCATION
Continuing Education for mental health professionals and creative arts therapists vary from state to state and profession to profession in the United States and throughout the world. Several state-level boards allow continuing education hours with national accrediting organizations and outside state boards. However, most state licensure boards and national accrediting organizations accept online courses and home study programs. Some do not. Certain boards allow only a certain amount of online continuing education credit hours. Make sure to check with your professional organization or state board to confirm online course continuing education credits meet their requirements prior to enrollment. Certificates of Completion are sent electronically to the email address you provide to us with the purchase of your course. We keep diligent records of your completed courses, so if you need additional electronic copies of your Certificate of Completion, feel free to reach out to us again. An additional fee of $25 will be applied to have a printed paper copy of your Certificate of Completion postal mailed to you, due to printing, shipping and handling fees.
ILLINOIS COUNSELORS
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy is approved as a continuing education provider for Counselors by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, Approved Continuing Education Sponsor, (#159.001383). Full course completion is required; no partial credits will be offered for partial completion.
ILLINOIS SOCIAL WORKERS
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy is approved as a continuing education provider for Social Workers by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, Approved Continuing Education Sponsor, (#159.001383). Full course completion is required; no partial credits will be offered for partial completion.
CHAPLAINS/ CLERGY
This course is designed to qualify for continuing education hours. Many states do not require pre-approval of continuing education offerings. Please check with your licensing board to determine your specific requirements. PESI will gladly apply to any state board when seminar material is appropriate for Chaplains/Clergy.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE
Materials that are included in these online courses may include interventions and modalities that are beyond the authorized practice of mental health professionals. As a licensed professional, you are responsible for reviewing the scope of practice, including activities that in law as beyond the boundaries of practice in accordance with and in compliance with your profession's standards.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Registered Expressive Arts Therapy (REAT) credential eligibility. International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) compliant program.
Classes are small and instruction individualized. The Drama Therapy Program is in alliance with the North American Drama Therapy Association's Alternative Training Requirements.
