Clinical Internship in Drama Therapy & Expressive Arts Therapy
Providing clinical internships in the fields of drama therapy and expressive arts therapy (art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and music therapy students will be accepted at a later date). Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited college degree program for one of the expressive arts therapy fields, or a field related to the helping professions (social work, counseling, education, etc.) are eligible to apply.
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy's mission in training future creative arts therapists is to provide an enriching learning experience preparing interns for their futures as professionals in the fields of creative arts therapy. Our interns will graduate possessing advanced clinical skills, making them a competitive candidate for a variety of professional opportunities.

Drama Therapy Internship
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy's drama therapy internship is designed for students seeking to fulfill the 800-hour Alternative Training Program under the supervision of a Board Certified Trainer (BCT). Unlike other drama therapy training sites, 30 1-hour Supervision sessions per NADTA's Alternative Training requirements are also included.
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy currently provides administrative internships for college students who are interested in expressive art therapy, but majoring in other fields (psychology, music, theater, art, etc.). Students who are enrolled in a non-creative arts therapy degree program are eligible to apply.The philosophy of the administrative internship is to provide students with opportunities to experience and gain exposure to expressive arts therapy. Students assist our therapists in daily sessions and perform daily administrative tasks under the supervision of the Administrative Director.
