Illuminating Your Strengths through Art
Ciara graduated from the Adler University Masters of Arts Counseling: Art Therapy program. During her clinical practicum at The Center, she developed the ability to work with clients of all ages in an outpatient setting. She incorporates person-centered, strengths based, and Adlerian counseling art therapy techniques.
Ciara’s clinical strengths include leading groups, working with children and adolescents, and supporting individuals who are anxious about the therapeutic process. Ciara is also skilled in directing creative art-based interventions through telehealth/virtual counseling sessions.
To have a positive therapeutic experience, Ciara believes it is important to develop a holistic understanding of the client. This includes exploring a client’s previous experience with treatment, identity, culture, and community.
By recognizing a client’s needs and illuminating their strengths, Ciara works to create a space where clients may gain insight and become empowered to shine on their own.
