WE'VE CLOSED OUR DOORS
after over a decade of Creative Arts Therapy
The Center for Creative Arts Therapy started small, as a training center for drama therapists, a place to pass on a craft that changes how people heal.
Then it grew.
Our students needed a place to do clinical work, so we created internship placements so that our students on their way to becoming registered drama therapists had somewhere real to practice, not just theory.
Soon after, we opened our doors to the community itself, offering mental health services to anyone who needed them, using creative arts as the way in.
We kept growing.
Expressive Arts Therapy students joined, doing clinical work both on site and out in the community, carrying these methods to people who might never have found their way to a traditional therapy room.
For years, that was the heartbeat of this place: creative arts therapies, offered to a community that trusted us with some of the most vulnerable and sacred moments of their lives..
In our final five years, we extended that same work into corporations and organizations, training their people and supporting their mental health from the inside.
Over this decade, we trained more than 5,000 students, supported over 300 organizations, delivered workshops to more than 50,000 individuals, provided clinical mental health services to thousands of families in our community, and won over 50 awards for our work.
But the number that matters most isn't on this page. It's the students who came through these doors and are now out in the world themselves, registered drama and expressive arts therapists, carrying this work forward into spaces we'll never see.
That's the REAL thing we built. Not a Center. A ripple. Several ripples. A tidal wave of change and healing.
In 2025, we closed our doors for good. Not because the mission ended, but because it had already become bigger than any one building could hold.
Thank you to every student, every community member, and every organization who let us walk alongside you. You are why what we created mattered.
